Warkop DKI was a comedian group consisting of 4 people from 1970s. As a comedian group who're considered as a successful for their period, Warkop DKI is also an indonesian iconic comedian group. The group was first formed by Prambors radio indonesia. Working under the radio station they're formed to entertain people with comedy through a radio program. After a while they're hired to entertain people in a more direct approach which is stage show and was paid only for the cost of their transportation. Not so long after their carried on stages they're all finally got a movie contract and got famous as a group called Warkop DKI.
Through their joke and act, a lot of people around Indonesia was entertained. Not just the old generation but the young generation in present still know about this group and watched at least a few of their movies. Averagely the comedy in Indonesia now days is focusing on making fun of the character either it's about themselves or about the others. Warkop DKI is still become the most successful comedian group since they're focusing on the creativity in many ways. Not just joke, the act, the soundtrack, and also the plot is their basis in making a comedy film.
